ABOUT MAUI BEVERAGES Maui Beverages is truly an ongoing "excellent adventure" for Mark and me. We started selling smoothies back in the late 1980's and kept looking at making the process more efficient. We had plenty of combined experience in the food and beverage business at the retail and wholesale levels. So we decided to create a business which would capture that whimsical "LIFES' A BEACH" atmosphere. Maui Beverages was launched in January 2000 and its been a blast ever since! The formation of the company was envisioned while visiting Hawaii several years ago, on the Kaanapali coast of Maui, a virtual paradise with constant trade winds, crashing surf and spectacular panoramic vistas. Thus began the adventure to capture the Aloha Spirit and create a new "super-premium" standard for frozen drinks to serve as the core of Maui Beverages. Fortunately we had a business rapport with Lyons Magnus, a highly respected pioneer in the fruit growing and packaging business founded in 1852. Lyons is known nationally as one of the largest growers of freestone peaches in the world along with their selective varieties of fresh strawberries grown and harvested on their own acreage. The company ships over a million pounds of finished products daily from its' flagship plant in Fresno, California and has experienced tremendous growth at its' new plant in Walton, Kentucky. Lyons enjoys a unique vertically integrated business, from growing and harvesting fruit, packing in company owned facilities and delivering the products through their own transportation and logistics division. Through their combined efforts Maui Beverages has enjoyed a national expansion with explosive growth through the dedication, persistence and unlimited energy of "Team Maui". Everyone involved in this adventure has given their extreme dedication and truly deserve our respect and admiration. Our relaxed business style is a refreshing change from the ordinary and has become our trademark in the industry.
